The directional (hyper cardioid) suspension mic for banjo fixes to the strings behind the bridge.
The microphone should be used above the strings, unless there is significant space below.
The distance between the capsule and the bridge may be adjusted by sliding the microphone mount to achieve exactly the sound you want.
The connecting wire then goes directly to the power adaptor.
