Accusound products suitable for Cello. There are a significant
number or variations available for the cello. Due to the size and
range of the instrument two styles of microphone may be used either
seperatly or as a combined system. The contact strip which is applied
under the arch of the bridge, there is no need to remove the bridge to
do this, gives a robust and attacking sound to the instrument. It picks
up the string vibrations with very little interference from the other
sounds on stage or form the audience.
The capsule microphone picks
up the full acoustic sound of the instrument. This is mounted on the
tail piece so does not interfere with the acoustics of the instrument
and the capsule is held in place by a light weight easily formed stalk.
The capsule is directional so may be "pointed" towards the source of the
sound, usually just over the f hole but it could be piointed towards
the bridge to achieve a punchier sound. The location of the capsule is
easily moved even from one song to the next if you want that much
control.
As the ulitmate both contact and capsule microphone can be used at the same time giving the ultimate in sound reproduction.
Finally,
if the two microphones/pickups are used they may be individually sent
to your amplifier/mixer or they may be mixed at the instrument using a
small mixing preamplifierand the combined signal sent to your
mixer/amplifier.
